Since today is Memorial Day, I would like to take a minute to thank all of our men and women fighting for the freedoms and liberties of our great country. My son Malcolm will be joining those ranks of men and women in less than two weeks now, when he heads to the Great Lakes for Naval Basic Training. While I am so so proud of him and am glad he's going out into that big wide world to find his place, at the same time I am sad to see him leave. I am going to miss him SO much but I am truly proud of the fine young man he has become.
I made this card to send to Malcolm's best friend who just graduated from Air Force basic training (with honors!) and is in Wichita Falls,TX for his tech school. I am also proud of the road John has chosen overcoming alot of hardship in his life. Like Malcolm he is an awesome young man and will go far.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely sweet, Jamie - this just made my eyes water! Bless you for making a card in honor of our vets today - if you could email me your son's friends name, rank, addy, etc I'd love to send him/her some happy mail. We are a military family and I'm all about saying thank you! x0x0 (and of course, Malcolm, when he gets to his new base!) x0x0
ReplyDeleteGreat layout on your card. I really like it. I wish Malcolm well in his new endeavor.
